Replication package for "National AI Strategies and Sectoral Productivity: Evidence on an Apparent Digital-Intensity Gradient"

Replication package for the paper “National AI Strategies and Sectoral Productivity: Evidence on an Apparent Digital-Intensity Gradient.” The package contains the Stata code, treatment-coding file, sector digital-intensity mapping, sample-coverage file, frozen results files, and generated tables and figure used to reproduce the analysis after obtaining the required OECD STAN source data. The analysis examines whether the timing of national AI-strategy adoption is associated with differential productivity patterns across sectors that differ in pre-existing digital intensity, using a country-sector triple-difference design. The raw OECD Structural Analysis (STAN) database, 2025 edition, is not re-hosted in this package. Users should obtain the STAN 2025 edition directly from the OECD Data Explorer and cite OECD as the source. The README documents the dataflow and the steps to reconstruct the panel from the source data.
