资源简介:
This dataset is from a survey of 708 visitors to the Great Barrier Reef on five tourism vessels in the Cairns-Port Douglas region, in September and October 2024. It represents a baseline study of public perceptions of assisted coral recovery devices, observed by the Reef visitors in situ. The data were collected as part of a study within the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP), under the Subprogram ‘Best Practice Stakeholder and Traditional Owner Engagement’. The study was reviewed and approved by the CSIRO Social Science Human Research Ethics Committee (Approval #131/21) in accordance with Australia’s National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007). Details about the purpose of the study, the handling and uses of the data, respondents’ anonymity and other ethical considerations were provided on the survey cover sheet, and all respondents’ participation was entirely voluntary.
