IMPACT OF VITAMIN AND MINERAL DEFICIENCY ON HUMAN HEALTH
收藏资源简介:
This article analyzes the impact of vitamin and mineral deficiencies on human health from a scientific, theoretical and clinical perspective. Microelements and vitamins play an important role in the body's metabolic processes, enzymatic reactions, immune response mechanisms, as well as in the stages of growth and development. Their deficiency can lead to metabolic disorders, hematological changes, bone system pathologies, and endocrine and nervous system dysfunctions. In particular, vitamin C deficiency causes scurvy, vitamin D deficiency causes rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults, and iodine deficiency causes goiter. The article also highlights the importance of nutritional culture, socio-economic factors, and preventive measures (rational nutrition, fortification, biologically active additives). The results of the study show that preventing vitamin and mineral deficiencies is one of the priority areas in the healthcare system.
