MoireDB is a database composed of moiré images generated via mathematical formulas, developed by researchers from Tokyo Denki University, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and the University of Oxford. This dataset produces moiré images with characteristic interference fringes by superimposing multiple randomly generated concentric circular patterns. All images in this dataset are automatically generated, and a wide range of distinct interference fringe patterns can be generated by adjusting multiple configurable parameters. The core objective of this dataset is to enhance the robustness of image recognition models for classification tasks.
