资源简介:
Background and aims: 10 meters walk test (10MWT) is used to check the motor functions like walking abilities in children. Study aims to find reliability and validity of 10MWT using video (VBO) and online based (OBO) observation with direct observation (DO). Methods: For reliability and validity study, 75 children of both genders, age group between 8 and 12 years were recruited based on simple random sampling. After anthropometrics, 10MWT was performed using VBO and OBO methods. Concurrent validity of VBO and OBO were established with DO method. In addition to above, test-retest and intrarater reliabilities were established. Results: Age, height, weight, and limb length of children were 10.1 (8-12 years), 141 (123-165 cm), 47.7 (27.95-67.10 kg), 75.7 (67-91.5 cm) respectively. Validity of DO method with VBO and OBO methods were r =0.86 and r = 0.85 (P <0.001) respectively. Intrarater reliability for the 10MWT with DO, VBO and OBO were ICC = 0.827, 0.646 and 0.659 respectively. Test-retest reliability of 10MWT with DO, VBO and OBO were ICC = 0.74, 0.68, and 0.70 respectively. Conclusion: VBO and OBO method have good validity and reliability with DO method. Clinical Implications: VBO and OBO methods can be used in clinical settings where DO method is not feasible.
