Generating transcriptome dataset from wheat root tip under iron deficiency condition
收藏资源简介:
The current dataset consists of the transcriptomic data of root tips of hexaploidwheat (Triticum aestivum L. cv. C-306) grown both under control condition(80 micromolar FeEDTA) as well as under iron starvation (1 micromolar FeEDTA). The workwas done with the aim of understanding iron related molecular responses at thetranscriptomic level, in terms of differentially expressed genes expected to beactive on iron uptake, transport and homeostasis at the root tip. High-throughputRNA sequencing was used to sequence the RNA extracted from the root tiptissue samples. This dataset is important for understanding the gene regulatorynetworks for iron metabolism in wheat, especially in the context of irondeficiency, and can be used to search genes in wheat to enhance the iron useefficiency and its biofortification.
