In July 2020, we collected two arable soils from two arable sites: an acidic soil at Qiyang, Hunan province, and a neutral soil at Changchun, Jilin province. At each arable site, five topsoil samples 20 cm deepwere collected, mixed into a composite sample, and transported on ice to the laboratory.
