RNA-seq of WRII_female

All-female fish are of significant application value in fish genetics and breeding, however, there are still few reports on all-female hybrid fish. In this study, a new type of all-female hybrid crucian carp was obtained by the combination of gynogenesis, sex reversal and distant hybridization. We performed a series of analyses focusing on the morphological characteristics, ploidy, gonad development, muscle nutrition, and growth performance of AFWR-II. The results demonstrated that AFWR-II is a diploid fish characterized by 100 chromosomes, and it presents a smaller head and a higher body than its original parental, WCC and RCC.
