资源简介:
The dataset comprises raw microprobe (EPMA) analyses of minerals from eruptions from the active Teide-Pico Viejo volcanic complex and proximal eruptions of the Santiago Rift. The analyses were conducted at the Peter Hooper GeoAnalytical Lab, Washington State University, using a JEOL JXA8500F field emission electron microprobe. To ensure high precision and accuracy, feldspars were analysed separately from mafic minerals and glasses, using different calibration standards.
All analyses were performed at 15 kV accelerating voltage, 15 nA beam current, and a 5 μm beam diameter. The data were acquired and processed using Probe For EPMA (PFE), applying Mean Atomic Number (MAN) background corrections for all elements except Al and Si, which were processed using EDS with full standardisation and matrix corrections. Feldspar calibration used standards including Wollastonite #2 (Si), K-412 (Ca, Mg, Fe), Albite #4 (Na), KCl (K), Spessartine (Al, Mn), SrTiO3 (Sr), Barite #4 (Ba), and Rutile (Ti). Calibration for mafic minerals employed K-412 (Si, Mg), KCl (K, Cl), Wollastonite #2 (Ca), Albite #4 (Na), Spessartine (Al, Mn), Hematite #2 (Fe), Barite #4 (Ba), Rutile (Ti), and MnF2 (F).
The dataset is organised by individual microprobe sessions, with separate files for each session and their stardards to facilitate reproducibility. Information about the samples can be found in Dorado (2024).
