One of the biggest challenges in modern radio astronomy is understanding what causes the Fanaroff-Riley morphological dichotomy in powerful radio galaxies openParFR-I-IIclosePar. PKS2250-351 openParz=0.2115closePar is a rare example of a hybrid morphology source openParHyMoRSclosePar comma with an FR-II hotspot and an FR-I jet and lobe on either side. PKS 2250-351 is located within the rich Abell 3936 galaxy cluster. We propose XMM-Newton observations to unveil the temperature comma luminosity and substructure of Abell 3936. These first even X-ray observations of the large scale environment around a HyMoRS are uniquely positioned to test whether the FR-I-II dichotomy is caused by interaction between the jets of PKS2250-351 with an overdense comma asymmetric environment and will yield crucial insights into jet launching in black holes.
