Mid Layer Disease Ontology
收藏资源简介:
MILD is a small mid-level ontology of disease, placed between Basic Formal Ontology (BFO 2020) and domain ontologies that name individual diseases. In MILD a disease is a material entity: an abnormal presence, absence or organization of material parts of a human body. Its pathological status is recorded as a classification made by medicine, not inferred from criteria. MILD keeps the disease separate from its diagnosis, which is an information entity about it, and from a predisposition, which is a tendency. Its development and its course are processes it takes part in, and treatment is a planned process with the disease as input. This is a deliberate departure from OGMS, where a disease is a disposition. MILD has 51 classes and seven object properties of its own. It is written in OWL 2 DL, checked with the ELK and HermiT reasoners, released under CC BY 4.0, and serves as the disease layer of the Wound Ontology (WONT).
