Nothing to Declare? — Data Repository

This repository contains the research data used for the study: Nothing to Declare? Assessing Privacy Transparency in Airline Android Apps The study examined Google Play Data Safety declarations and recognised third-party component signatures across 113 airline Android applications. Files nothing_to_declare_paper_data.xlsx — final research dataset containing app-level observations, individual tracker matches, tracker classifications and statistical results. carriers.csv — frozen carrier sampling frame used by the data-collection pipeline. The frame contains 128 identified airlines, of which 113 had a verified Android application and entered the final analysis. exodus_trackers.json — frozen snapshot of the Exodus Privacy/ETIP tracker database used for static signature matching. Dataset structure nothing_to_declare_paper_data.xlsx contains four worksheets: App_Level_Data — one row per analysed application. Tracker_Matches — individual recognised component detections and matched signatures. Tracker_Taxonomy — classification of detected components under the study's five tracker-classification thresholds. Statistical_Results — statistical results reported or checked during analysis. Carrier frame carriers.csv is retained as the frozen input frame used during data collection. Some descriptive and operational fields were generated during corpus construction but were not used in the final statistical analysis; these have been retained for provenance and reproducibility. All applications and Data Safety declarations used in the study were collected on 16 July 2026. The repository does not redistribute the analysed APK files or raw Google Play HTML captures.
