## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from a derived dataset (38f3a272-66cc-4fe2-bef9-ff4aedf6fc24). The source dataset is identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThe dataset is a shapefile for 16 catchments in the Gloucester area selected to calibrate the surface water model. Out of the 16, four contribute to the Gloucester or Karuah river basins, including the Barrington River at Forbesdale (calibration gauge 208006), Gloucester River at Gloucester (208020), Mammy Johnsons River at Pikes Crossing (209002) and Karuah River at Dam site (209018). Of the remaining catchments, five are in the Manning river basin, six are in the Hunter river basin and one is in the Wallis Lake river basin..\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe catchment boundaries were delineated using 1 sect SRTM DEM dataset with 16 selected gauge locations as pour points (see lineage dataset). The new boundaries are better (for modelling purposes) than those delineated using the BOM's Geofabric for all catchments, except for the catchment 209003 where a flaw in the SRTM derived flowpath excluded a valley when compared with the Geofabric. This catchment was manually edited to conform with the Geofabric representation of 209003.
