Psychtoolbox data

This folder contains psychtoolbox data for all 39
participants. Each participant has two .mat files for two sentence sets in the
study.

For instance, the participant named '20190608_b3f8' has
'2019_5_18_Exp_Reading_b3f8.mat' for the first sentence set, and
'2019_5_18_Exp_Reading_JEP_b3f8.mat' for the second sentence set (adapted from
Degno et al. 2019, Journal of Experimental Psychology).

Each .mat file contains three structure data as followings:

'cfg' structure is the configuration of experiment
presentation (for details, please see the presentation scripts in the repository
of psychtoolbox codes DOI: 10.6084/m9.figshare.14980149).

'Para' structure contains all parameters for the study. The
field SentMat is the sentences matrix that is shown to the participant. The
field CondMat is the condition matrix, the first column is the position of the
target word (also the flickering word) in a given sentence; the second column
is the condition index for a given sentence, 1--low frequency target, 2--high
frequency target. The field FixDuration is the duration of cross-fixation in
the baseline period, unit in second.

'Result' structure is the outputs from psychtoolbox. The
fields FixationON, StartBoxON, SentenceON, and ITION are the time points when
triggers 1, 2, 4, and 16 are sent to both the MEG and EyeLink system. Those
triggers can be used to align the clocks in the experiment presentation
computer, MEG data acquisition computer, and the EyeLink computer. The fields RT
and CORR are the reaction time (unit in second) and accuracy of the responses
to the comprehension question (please note that only One-quarter of the
sentences were followed by a question). The field WordLocation contains the
coordinates for all the words that are presented on the screen -- [x_start,
y_start, x_end, y_end], unit in pixel. Please note that we used the rapid mode
of PROPixx projector, where the coordinates here are just half of the
coordinates on the participant's screen (also the Eyelink coordinate). Thus, please multiply these coordinates by 2 when
you locate eye movement samples to a given word.
