Data Extracted from Scientific Articles on Worldwide Fish Polyculture

This dataset compiles information extracted from 220 scientific publications on polyculture research in aquaculture. The data were collected and organized into a matrix. For each study, we documented the following characteristics: the species farmed, the rearing systems, the management practices, the associated forms of integrated production, as well as the study objectives and the levers used to achieve them. This dataset makes it possible to identify major research trends over time, highlight knowledge gaps while considering their geographic distribution, and propose future research directions to address global and regional challenges in this field.
