Neurospora crassa OR74A Genome sequencing and assembly

Note: Project 40071 is part of Project 13841. It was created to reference SRA data specifically for an ALLPATHS2 publication. Users should reference 13841 as it is synonymous with 40071. The Broad Institute sequenced the Neurospora crassa strain OR74A genome at >10X coverage using whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing and targeted sequencing. Release 7 of the genome assembly consists of 251 contigs/scaffolds. Version 3 of the annotation, generated from assembly 7 contains 9,826 genes.
