From 2016 to 2020, research was conducted on the infection, transmission and outbreak mechanisms of the key pests and diseases, including rice blast, rice false smut and rice planthoppers, in the double cropping rice planting areas of southern China, and the development of early diagnosis technologies for important pests and diseases as well as the establishment of a disease epidemic early warning system were completed.
