资源简介:
Table 2. This study assessed the risk of invasive cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and basal cell carcinoma (BCC) in patients with syphilis compared with matched controls. Data were obtained from de-identified electronic health records within the TriNetX network. Patients with early, late, and total syphilis were propensity score–matched to controls to reduce confounding. Outcomes included incident SCC and BCC over a 5-year period and were stratified by anatomic region (head and neck, trunk, extremities, and overall). Relative risks with 95% confidence intervals and P values were used to compare cohorts, with statistical significance defined as P < 0.05. SCC risk was higher in patients with syphilis, with variation by stage and anatomic region. BCC risk was not increased.
