Subgingival plaque samples from patients with periodontitis before and after non-surgical periodontal treatment. DNA libraries were prepared following the Illumina DNA Prep reference guide 1000000025416-10, with the Illumina DNA Prep kit (Illumina, reference 20060059). Input DNA was diluted to 0.5 ng/uL to start the protocol. At the multiplexing step, Illumina DNA/RNA UD Indexes (Illumina, reference 20091654) were used. Library size selection was performed according to the Illumina Library Prep protocol with Sample Purification Beads (SPB) included in the library Prep kit. Library size was validated by using Fragment Analyzer 48-Capillary Array with the HS NGS Fragment Kit (1-6000bp) (Agilent, reference DNF-474-0500).
