Zygotic CLAMP and Zelda Knockdown Early Embryonic RNA-sequencing

In Drosophila, to examine CLAMP and Zelda function during Zygotic Genome Activation (ZGA) in the early embryo, CLAMP and/or Zelda activity was zygotically compromised in the early embryo. This was accomplished by mating maternal-tubulin-GAL4 mothers to fathers carrying shRNA transgenes targeting clamp, zelda, or both clamp and zelda. Embryos were collected in two intervals (0-1.5 hr and 1.5-3 hr) to study changes in transcription between the minor and major waves of ZGA.
