Replication package for "Administrative Efficiency Traps in NGEU Implementation: A Territorial Typology of Spain's Recovery Plan across 19 NUTS-2 Regions"

Replication package for the article "Administrative Efficiency Traps in NGEU Implementation: A Territorial Typology of Spain's Recovery Plan across 19 NUTS-2 Regions", submitted to European Planning Studies (Taylor & Francis). The package contains: (i) the consolidated dataset (ngeu_dataset.csv / ngeu_dataset.xlsx) covering the 19 Spanish NUTS-2 regions with 13 variables on NGEU/PRTR administrative execution (ELISA platform, April 2025), regional GDP per capita, business demography, employment, social exclusion (AROPE) and institutional quality (European Quality of Government Index 2024); (ii) a single self-contained replication script (replication.py) that reproduces every table (Tables 2–6), in-text statistic (Sections 4.6–4.7) and figure (Figures 1–2) of the manuscript; (iii) a full codebook (codebook.md / codebook.pdf) documenting variables, units, sources and replication instructions; and (iv) the two manuscript figures at 300 dpi. Analyses run on n=19 (n=18 where the EQI is involved; Melilla lacks an EQI 2024 value and no imputation is applied). All results are deterministic: random seed 42, percentile bootstrap with 10,000 replications, HC3 robust standard errors. The script runs in Google Colab (%run replication.py) or locally with Python 3.
