CA High-resolution Imagery Program County-level Access

Summary The California High Resolution Imagery Program (CHIPs) contains aerial imagery biennially from 2018-2024. The latest statewide imagery is 4 band, 15 cm imagery in recent collects and lesser resolutions in some earlier collections. The state contracts with Hexagon/ Leica Geosystems to collect the imagery and offer WMS Web Services. The access license is for state and local government use with additional provisions for public universities, CA tribes, and public safety answering points (PSAPs). The CA Department of Technology (CDT) provisions access to administrators per-department, county, or university, with those administrators providing access to affiliated staff. In the case of county governments, we ask that they also be willing to provision access to local governments within their county. CDT reached out to all counties to offer access to this imagery program. This map layer shows the counties that have responded and are receiving imagery and who are available to service cities within their boundaries.
