Abolished level crossings

To reduce the number of accidents, Infrabel aims to eliminate as many level crossings as possible and replace them with safer alternatives. This is the number of level crossings eliminated since 2010. Public level crossing : The level crossing of a public road, in whole or in part, by one or more tracks laid outside the carriageway. Private level crossing : The level crossing of a public road or private road, in whole or in part, by one or more tracks laid outside the carriageway, and created in the interests of private individuals. More info on our corporate website Via the TEN-T programme (Trans-European Transport Network) and the CEF programme (Connecting Europe Facilities), we have already received financial support from the European Union on several occasions to remove a number of level crossings.
