资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of both oceanic ammonium made by David Hydes and oceanic methane made by Mary Scranton during the Challenger 50 research cruise in the North Sea, as part of the North Sea Project (NSP). The cruise began on 13th April 1989 and ended on 24th April 1989 with a spatial coverage of +52N and +54N latitude and +1E and +4E longitude. The data set consists of: -138 measurements of the concentration of methane (CH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography; -137 measurements of the saturation of methane (CH4) in the water column (dissolved phase) by computation from concentration; and -35 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by colorimetric autoanalysis. See below for further details.
