This dataset can be used to replicate the results found in the article "Optimizing the membrane composition of immobilized giant vesicles for effective entrapment and observation of motile bacteria."
A folder called the "Entrapment Efficiency" is a set of videos used to calculate how efficiently giant vesicles entrap motile bacteria AMB-1. Individual AMB-1 bacteria were counted in each video and an efficiency of bacteria trapped per area was calculated. The second is the "Lipid Mixture Spectra Data" which is spectrophotometry data of Laurdan, a lipophilic dye that reports on membrane order in the created giant vesicles. Using these spectra, one can calculate the generalized polarization of the different vesicles, which is an approximation of the membrane order in the vesicles. All .CZI files are able to opened with FIJI.
