资源简介:
Marine viruses are the most numerous, most diverse and the least genetically characterized biological entities on Earth. Through cycles of infection, replication and host cell lysis, viruses impact multiple pathways and processes involved in the population biology of host organisms and the functioning of marine environments as a whole. The purpose of this project is to get the viral metagenomic sequences from a community of naturally occurring viral assemblages in different marine environments like the hypoxic basin within the Chesapeake Bay, surface waters of Dry Tortugas National Park and surface waters of the Gulf of Maine.
