Puerto Rico: number of earthquakes by type 2009-2018

In 2018, a total of 3,974 seismic events were recorded in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Of these, 29 earthquakes were felt in these Caribbean islands. 2016 and 2018 were the years with the greatest seismicity in the past decade. The majority of quakes in Puerto Rico occurred at a depth of up to 25 kilometers.
