Measurement Data From: Towards Detecting Traffic Changes in Real-World Heterogeneous Multi-Cloud Environments

This repository contains a description and the dataset associated with the paper Towards Detecting Traffic Changes in Real-World Heterogeneous Multi-Cloud Environments (RNDM 2025) The dataset, collected from April 2024 to January 2025, originates from a nationwide enterprise’s heterogeneous multi-cloud infrastructure in Germany. It focuses on traffic from a Virtual Desktop Service (VDS) used by thousands of remote users via Citrix. Traffic was captured via NetFlow at edge routers linking VPCs and on-prem subnets to the enterprise WAN. To prevent duplication, each router logs only one traffic direction. Due to high volume, data is aggregated by source/destination subnets and the protocol ID, with packet, byte, and flow counts computed every 5 minutes. The full dataset is stored in vipnano_measurement_data.tar.gz, containing Parquet files readable with libraries like arrow or Spark. A small preview is given in the csv file preview_file.csv.
