Effect of anitbiotic alternatives on cecal microbiome of Salmonella Heidelberg-challenged turkeys

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of antibiotic alternatives (two probiotics and a Salmonella vaccine) on cecal microbial composition, and metagenomic functional potential of turkey challenged with multi drug-resistant Salmonella Heidelberg. Understanding the effect of antibiotic alternatives on microbiome could help to develop new microbiome-based strategies to control Salmonella.
