2014 Kefalonia Doublet Relocated Catalog
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains a catalogue of 1,152 earthquakes from the 2014 Kefalonia sequence in the Ionian Islands, western Greece. The sequence included two strong shocks, both in the catalogue. The first (M 6.1) occurred on 26 January 2014 at 13:55:42.43 UTC and was followed by 670 events. The second (M 6.0) occurred on 3 February 2014 at 03:08:44.89 UTC. The catalogue covers the period from the first shock to 17 February 2014, about three weeks in total. Epicentres lie between 38.09–38.43°N and 20.24–20.54°E, in the Paliki peninsula area of western Kefalonia. Magnitudes range from M 1.4 to 6.1. Sixty-six events have M ≥ 4.0, and four have M ≥ 5.0: the two main shocks, an M 5.5 aftershock about five hours after the first shock, and an M 5.0 event on 15 February. Hypocentral depths range from 0.5 to 19.8 km, with 90% of events located between about 3 and 14 km. The catalogue is provided as a single Excel file (kefalonia_14.xlsx) with one row per event, in chronological order: Column Description Units event_id Event identifier – latitude Epicentre latitude decimal degrees N longitude Epicentre longitude decimal degrees E depth Depth km year, month, day, hour, minutes, seconds Origin time UTC magnitude Event magnitude – magnitude_type Magnitude scale – RMS Root-mean-square travel-time residual of the location s
