Modification of the aerial architecture of isolated rapeseed plants by a far-red spectral signal

Rapeseed plants were grown in individual containers from when they resumed vegetation at the end of winter. Far-red emitters in the 700-800 nm spectral band were placed at the base of some of the plants. The remaining plants were fitted with the same emitters left switched off to form a control group. Measurements were taken with a spectroradiometer at the base of the plants to characterise their spectral environment. At harvest, the architecture of the plants was characterised.
