Sequencing, assembly, and analysis of a new strain of marine Thaumarchaeota enriched from Pacific Ocean seawater.. Sequencing of marine Thaumarchaeota enrichment culture

A new strain of marine Thaumarchaeota was enriched from Pacific Ocean seawater. Illumina sequencing was used to sequence and assemble the genome of the dominant strain in this enrichment as well at least one co-occurring bacterial strain of the genus Erythrobacter. This new strain of archaeal strain is a representative member of a newly recognized lineage of marine Thaumarchaea that is abundant in temperate marine waters.
