Our lab is actively developing practical systems for mitigating agricultural and environmental toxins thorough the utilization of bio-transforming microorganisms. In order to systematically understand such microorganisms, cutting-edge methods such as next-generation sequencing techniques are used as efficient research tools. Here were report the de novo genome assembly of a hydrocarbons-tolerating Devosia isolate, D. chinhatensis Strain IPL18, in order to understand the metabolic pathways involved in its environmental adaption and tolerance toward hydrocarbons.
