THE REFLECTION OF SOGDIAN SOCIO-DOMESTIC CULTURE IN RELIGIOUS PROCESSES

Abstract: This article examines the reflection of Sogdian socio-domestic culture in religious processes. It analyzes housing, family life, feasting, clothing, commercial ethics, funerary rites, crafts, urban space and diaspora experience in relation to Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Manichaeism, Christianity and early Islamic transformations. The study argues that Sogdian religious life was deeply embedded in everyday social practices and in the organization of urban and household culture.
