RNA-seq profiling of cnidocyte subtypes in Nematostella vectensis

Total RNA was extracted from sorted cnidocyte subtypes (Ncol3 and Nep3 positive cells, along with corresponding negative populations) of the sea anemone Nematostella vectensis. Libraries were prepared and sequenced on an Illumina platform to generate 120 bp single-end reads. These data provide transcriptome-wide profiles for comparative analysis of cell type-specific gene expression and regulatory programs.
