Global legal actions for climate change 1990-2019

Concern about climate change has increased globally in the last decades which can be seen as communities and environmental groups have taken over 1,300 legal actions against governments and corporations worldwide. Since 1990, the United States accounted for over 1,000 climate action lawsuits, while during the same period, there were five climate change-related lawsuits against the government or corporations in Germany.
