Dataset for commecometrics R package

This dataset provides a real-world trait, climate, and distribution data used in the commecometrics R package, which models the relationship between community-level traits and environmental variables. It includes:points: 52053 spatial sampling points. Each point includes coordinates, mean annual temperature (BIO1), annual precipitation (BIO12), and dominant land cover class (DOM_NUM). These data are derived and filtered from the dataset published by Siciliano-Martina et al. (2024).<br> traits: A dataset of relative blade length (RBL) values for species in the order Carnivora from Siciliano-Martina et al. (2024).<br> polygons: A spatial object (in sf format) containing species distribution polygons for Carnivora species. The range were downloaded from the IUCN Red List webpage (IUCN, 2025).<br> The .rda file includes all three objects for seamless use in R. The dataset is intended for testing, examples, and reproducibility of the commecometrics package.
