Herbivory-induced transcriptome responses of local and systemic tissues in potato plant

Local and systemic transcriptomes following wounds (W) and oral secretions (OS) elicitation. Potato plants were elicited with W and OS at mature source leaves at nodes No. 2, 3, 4. Four types of tissues [elicited leaf (no. 2), systemic immature leaf (no. 1), systemic mature leaf (no. -2) and root] were sampled at 3 time points (2, 6, 12 h) after treatment. These samples were prepared for RNA-Seq. Systemic mature leaf and elicited mature leaf share a common control group (leaf no. 2) because leaves at nodes 1 and 2 are similarly just completing the sink-source transition.
