Milwaukee Public Museum- Bees Expedition 1

The Apidae- honey, cuckoo, digger, carpenter, orchid, and bumblee bees are a diverse and economically important group of bees, and are in decline across much of thier range. Transcribing the labels on these specimens will provide scientists and people all over the world with valuable data about modern and historical distributions of these species, as well as other ecological details like nectar and pollen plant associations.  These expeditions also contain data from specimens of Bombus affinis, the rusty patched bumblee, which was added to the United State's Endangered Species list in January 2017. The total number of tasks for this dataset is: 500, number transcribed is 500 and number validated is 360. This data resource is harvested periodically into the main occurrence index.
