资源简介:
Walt Whitman, Camden, New Jersey, USA, letter, 1889 January 12, to Hamlin Garland. "Y'r [Your] welcome letter rec'd [received]. I saw Baxter's ardent and noble notice and am very grateful -- am still cabin'd [cabined] here in the sick room -- don't feel particularly sick but the physical machine seems disable and weaken'd [weakened] almost to an extreme -- can hardly move across the room without assistance -- fortunately retain good spirits -- fine sunny weather here -- give my best respects to Mrs. Moulton to Chamberlain and to all my Boston friends." -- first line. With envelope (which may not belong with letter).
