资源简介:
Teak (Tectona grandis) is one of the world''s most important tropical timber species. It deserves attention in the areas such as genetic resource conservation and tree improvement. DNA markers play a major role in such studies. Simple sequence repeats (SSRs) are widely used as molecular markers in genetic studies to determine population structure in many forest tree species. However, only a small number of SSR markers have been developed for teak. This study aims at the development of polymorphic SSRs, which would find applications in characterization and management of teak genetic resources.
