Plant phylogeography of southernmost South America

The Quaternary vegetation dynamics of both the arid East Patagonian steppe and humid West Patagonian cushion peat bogs are inferred from the phylogeographic patterns of a variety of study species, each of them being main elements of the respective vegetation type. Molecular data is generated through next-generation sequencing of chloroplast and nuclear genome regions.
