This study investigates total lightning behavior near the monsoon trough over the Core Monsoon Zone (CMZ) during the summer monsoon of 2024 using collocated observations from a C-band dual-polarimetric Doppler radar and a ground-based lightning location network. Results show that lightning activity is dynamically constrained to regions along the edges of the monsoon trough, where persistent low-level convergence organizes deep convection.
