Number of migrant workers in major destination regions in China 2017-2021

In 2021, the number of migrant workers in the Yangtze River Delta in China recovered from the drop caused by the coronavirus pandemic and increased to around 53.39 million, while the number of workers in the Pearl River Delta declined slightly to around 42.19 million. In 2012, the number of migrant workers in the Yangtze and Pearl River Delta had ranged at around 59.4 and 52.0 million respectively.

2021年，中国长江三角洲地区的外来务工人员数量自新冠疫情导致的下滑中恢复，增至约5339万人，而珠江三角洲地区的务工人员数量则略有下降，约为4219万人。追溯至2012年，长江三角洲和珠江三角洲地区的外来务工人员数量分别约为5940万和5200万。
