Data underlying the research of Particulate Matter Exposure of coal miners in Northern Malawi

The study aimed to measure total suspended particulate (TSP) exposure concentrations and estimate its non-carcinogenic risk through the inhalation pathway among different occupational groups in two underground coal mines in Northern Malawi. Conducted as a cross-sectional study, it utilised personal samplers to collect quantitative data on TSP concentrations from 157 miners grouped into six similar exposure groups (SEGs) during working hours. This approach facilitated the assessment of occupational exposure and its potential health risks based on measurable and numerical data.

本研究旨在测定马拉维北部两座地下煤矿内不同职业群体经吸入途径暴露于总悬浮颗粒物（Total Suspended Particulate，TSP）的浓度，并评估该暴露的非致癌健康风险。本研究为横断面研究，采用个体采样器在工作时段内，从被划分为6个相似暴露组（Similar Exposure Groups，SEGs）的157名矿工处采集TSP浓度的定量数据。该研究方法可基于可量化的实测数据，实现职业暴露及其潜在健康风险的评估。
