资源简介:
This study aimed to compare the difference in the gut microbiota and fecal metabolites between vegetarian and non-vegetarian female adults, and explore mechanism of how diet pattern influence women's menstrual situation regulating endocrine metabolism via gut environment. We recruited 80 female adults aged 20 to 48 in Beijing, China. By dividing vegetarian participants into three groups according the vegetarian length and performing a set of bioinformatics analysis on microbiome and fecal metabolomics data, including Quantitative Insights Into Microbial Ecology (QIIME) analysis, Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA), and Weighted Gene Correlation Network Analysis (WGCNA). A set of microbe genus and fecal metabolites were found responsible for the different menstrual status between vegetarian and non-vegetarian women, and a microbiota-GPCRs-hormone regulatory axis was illustrated.
