SDG 12.4.2 Hazardous waste generated per unit of GDP
收藏资源简介:
This dataset reports the estimated amount of hazardous waste generated in Qatar per unit of real economic output. Hazardous waste is waste with properties capable of harming human health or the environment and is regulated and controlled by law. Hazardous waste generated is the quantity generated within the country during the reporting year before collection, treatment, recovery, recycling or export; it includes exports and excludes imports. The value is expressed as kilograms of hazardous waste generated per constant 2015 United States dollar of GDP. Constant-price GDP removes the effect of general price changes, allowing comparisons of waste intensity over time. A lower value means less reported hazardous waste per unit of real economic output, but it does not by itself explain changes in industrial structure or reporting coverage. The uploaded observations are classified as estimates. The dataset covers the period from 2006 to 2023.
