Die Bestäubung durch Insekten hat sich neben der Windbestäubung als eine besonders erfolgreiche Bestäubungsform etabliert. Pflanzen und Insekten sind dabei stark aneinander angepasst. Die effizientesten Bestäuber sind Bienen, da sie Pollen und Nektar für ihre Nachkommen benötigen und diese deshalb aktiv sammeln. Alongside wind pollination, insect pollination has established itself as a particularly successful form of pollination. Plants and insects are strongly adapted to each other. The most efficient pollinators are bees, as they need pollen and nectar for their offspring and therefore actively collect them.
