Innovative phylogenetic approaches shed light on the evolutionary history of late Homo

This dataset was acquired through segmentation and landmarking fossil hominin teeth. It was completed by data compiled from the literature. Each dataset contains (1) a landmark guide; (2) positions of points defining curves and (3) positions of landmarks and semi-landmarks. (1) The landmark guide contains information on the identity of each point: landmark or semi-landmark. (2) Splines contain the coordinates of all the points that define the curves used as references to slide the semi-landmarks. These are divided by curves (e.g., “EDJ1”, “EDJ2”, “CEJ”) and vary in number depending on the tooth type (3 for premolars, 5 for molars). (3) The object “New_landmarks_preslide” contains the coordinates of the landmarks and semi-landmarks before sliding.
