The response mechanism of peanut-soil system to microplastics and antibiotics

China is the largest peanut producer. In December 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs put forward the proposal to develop peanuts in the sub-suitable cotton area of Xinjiang. After that, the Xinjiang government departments subsidized peanut planting by 7500 yuan / hm2 in April 2022, and proposed to build Xinjiang into a national oil reserve base at the end of the same year. Plastic film mulching is a common agricultural practice in peanut production ( warming, water and fertilizer conservation ). However, it is difficult to recycle plastic film. The residual film is further broken, oxidized and decomposed into microplastics under the action of physical, chemical and biological factors, resulting in a large number of new pollutants microplastics.
